Strategy for a circular economy

More than recycling

It is well known that PWS uses recycled materials in the manufacture of waste containers as part of our sustainability strategy, but our concept is not limited to that.

Waste management customers are increasingly focusing on their own sustainability goals. This helps to prepare for our business models that take into account the other circuits in the Circular Economy model. Such business models are becoming more important today as greenhouse gas emissions threaten our climate more and more.

In Malmö, PWS has signed agreements with the waste management companies VA Syd, SUEZ and Urbaser, where PWS provides a full service with containers and warehouse management. In addition to stock management, the service consists of inspection, cleaning and repair of returned bins. Parts that have broken down and cannot be repaired are recycled and all working parts are reused.

PWS contributes to a reduced climate impact

Reusing and repairing parts massively reduces greenhouse gas emissions and has a positive impact on the environment.

PWS ‘container design is the necessary for these solutions. Modular, future-proof and adaptable waste containers are ready for future requirements, regardless of whether parts need to be replaced, whether waste flows or volumes need to be adapted or whether waste policy or laws change.

Our new service is completely in line with how PWS will continue to contribute to reduced climate impact and circular economy in the future
